Stop Yanking my Chain!....

Some are lucky. They are born into wonderful Christian homes with God
fearing parents that introduce their children to God and Jesus and the Holy
Spirit from the time they can say the names. Others are born into just
everyday families that may believe in God in their own ways, and may attend
church on Sundays every week, or just now and then or for holidays. But
their daily lives are pretty much devoid of any mention of God or of an
overall Godliness in the everyday comings and goings of their family. And
then there are those who are born into totally non-believing or
dysfunctional homes. Almost anything is possible here including using God
to suit the parents purposes and teaching their children to do the same.

In the first home you would be taught of a loving God that wants to
communicate with you and that loves you and will send His angels to protect
you in times of trial and danger. You would be taught that there is an
enemy of you and God, and that enemy is Satan and all his ugly demons that
work for him. You would be taught to pray and to call upon the precious
blood of the Lamb, Jesus, and that this would send the demons packing. You
would always know the power of prayer and God in your life.

Now the other two examples are a different story. The knowledge of God you
would receive from these two would be pretty superficial. They cannot teach
you of a loving God that wants to communicate with you because they don't
communicate with Him. They cannot teach you the importance of prayer to
fight off the demons because they think that the only time to pray is when
there is trouble. God cannot respond to those He does not know and that is
not God's fault. However, you will come to know the constant presence of
the enemy and his troops in your life. They are everywhere in an ungodly
home. They take the form of strife, anger, lying, suspicion, paranoia,
cheating, drugs, alcohol, abuse and oh so much more. You will grow up the
same way and carry the demons with you and pass them, and your behavior, on
to your children. This is what is know as Generational Curses.

But you can break this cycle. You can take a stand for your family and for
all the future generations of your family. You can accept Jesus as your
Lord and Savior. You can raise up your children in the way they should go
and establish a true and loving relationship between them and Jesus. But
you will have to establish a true bond between you and God. You must
retrain yourself as well. You have brought with you some very bad habits
that must be dealt with. You will catch yourself in lies, because where you
came from, lying was second nature. You will be quick to anger because that
is what you were met with everyday by your parents and siblings. You will
be numb to the dangers of drugs and alcohol and worse because in order to
survive, that is what you learned to do. You see, when you don't have God
in your life, it is so easy for Satan and his demons to put you on a chain
and constantly yank you around. They make you slaves to the world and all
it has to offer that will keep you from knowing your Heavenly Father. When
you break the cycle, you break the chains that bind you to the ways of the
past for you and for your children and their children. You establish a
Generational Blessing from your life on when you walk with God.

So what do you have to lose except another generation being yanked around by
Satan? Take a stand and tell the devil to...STOP YANKING MY CHAIN!
